ESSĒ at Reynolds Lake Oconee Wins Golden Fork Award
Signature Restaurant of The Landing Community Shines
Greensboro, Ga. (Mar. 31, 2025) – ESSĒ, the signature restaurant of The Landing community at Reynolds Lake Oconee, has received second place in the remodeled private food and beverage facility category of the 2025 Golden Fork competition. Golf Inc. Magazine features this stunning venue in the March/April 2025 issue.
ESSĒ (es-see), derived from the Latin meaning “to be,” celebrates food and gathering moments as the essence of good living in this vibrant community.
The vision was to modernize and create an updated space that would appeal to the new generation of Members and their guests and remain welcoming to all patrons. This new gathering and dining atmosphere is totally different from any others currently existing in the golf resort community and has proven to be extremely popular.
Additionally, the veranda—accessible from the dining room or a new outdoor staircase—offers al fresco dining opportunities as well as beautiful wooded and water views of the golf course.
A welcoming, octagonal central bar and vaulted ceilings immediately draw guests into the airy space, which is crowned by a stunning overhead light fixture of blown glass spheres. The Blue Roma Quartzite bar top has beautiful rust veins that add to the drama of this space and tie in beautifully with the burnt orange and rust upholstery of the new furniture.
Dark wood arches were added to the soaring vaulted ceiling running through the center of the space to create a sense of grandeur and to help connect the front bar scene to the dining space in the back of the restaurant.
Complementing the relaxed, sophisticated vibe is a menu that delivers a level of excitement and energy to the ESSĒ culinary experience. It’s ingredient-driven and features a wide variety of offerings— fresh seasonal greens, fish, and vegetables. The menu has evolved and continually changes with the seasons but remains as eclectic and interesting as the interiors themselves. Instant favorites include the Wagyu Beef Sliders, Szechuan Sautéed Shrimp, Pan-Seared Red Grouper, and Roast Beef Prime Rib.
