The CRMC Championship presented by Gertens Returns to Cragun’s Resort

Enjoy family fun and great golf, Aug. 31-Sept. 3

Brainerd, Minn. (August 15, 2023) – Cragun’s Resort is offering a week of family entertainment and the chance to watch the next generation of golf professionals compete when the CRMC Championship presented by Gertens returns August 31 – September 3, 2023.

As the final full-field stop before PGA Tour Canada’s Fortinet Cup Championship in Calgary, the CRMC Championship—to be played on the Blue and White nines of the resort’s Dutch 27, recently renovated by PGA Tour great Tom Lehman—is a crucial steppingstone for up-and-coming professionals.  The stakes are high, as the top points-earner in the Fortinet Cup earns membership to the Korn Ferry Tour for 2024 along with a $25,000 bonus and an exemption in the PGA TOUR’s 2023 Fortinet Championship in Napa, California. Second- through fifth-place finishers earn conditional membership to the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour.

Official practice rounds are Monday through Wednesday, with tournament play starting on Thursday, Aug. 31.

Coinciding with this week of pressure-packed golf, Cragun’s Resort and tournament organizers have scheduled a full slate of activities for children of all ages and their families, including free admission to all tournament-week events.

Monday, Aug. 28: Cruising for Charity on Gull Lake. An exclusive dining experience benefiting the CRMC Foundation with special guest Tom Lehman and live music by Dos Guys.

Wednesday, Aug. 30: The Northern Pacific Center Pro-Am pairs professional golfers with amateurs in morning and afternoon rounds. Also on hand will be the TravisMathew Tour Trailer, “Eleanor,” a mobile hospitality venue making its first appearance in Minnesota.

Thursday-Friday, Aug.31-Sept. 1: Bring the Kids to the Course Days. Along with getting autographs from the pros, kids can participate in coloring, face painting, arts & crafts, and corn hole. All kids’ activities will take place in the CRMC Lounge on the Legacy Patio.

Friday, Sept. 1 is also Hockey Day, with fans encouraged to wear their favorite hockey sweater—preferably that of Minnesota Wild forward Matt Boldy, who will be playing in the tournament on a sponsor’s exemption.

Saturday, Sept. 2: After the round, the gallery is encouraged to stay for a Saturday Night Jam sponsored by Clow Stamping Company featuring the Mason Dixon Line Band and followed by fireworks.

Sunday, Sept. 3: The tournament’s final round of competition will be followed by the Paul Bunyan Axe Trophy Presentation on the 18th green.
