Many architects (and non-architects) had their hands in the creation of the course at Nassau Country Club, which is to be expected of one that dates back to 1899. But unlike many of America’s earliest clubs, Nassau doesn’t hide its eclectic history: It celebrates it. Today, following a recent renovation by Fazio Design, the golf course has changed significantly to where players need to think while on the tee. The placement of the new bunkers has changed that mindset and brings a new thought of lay back or challenge. And, most of all, fun.
